About Us

Jonathan Goetz

Host, Producer, Co-Founder

Jonathan Goetz is the host of Phonicle, co-host of Rock & Roll Shin-Soo Choo and the co-founder of Phonicalia. Previously a web developer and graphic designer, Jonathan decided to finally put his degree from Iowa State’s Greenlee School of Journalism to good use as a podcaster. Phonicalia also allows him to expand his audio production skills, which began when working at a pro audio store in Kansas City fresh out of college. When not in front of his computer, Jonathan can be found listening to The Adam Savage Podcast, Dan Patrick or Banda do Mar.

Betsy Blodgett

Host, Producer, Co-Founder

Betsy Blodgett is the host of Hello Atelier and co-founder of Phonicalia. Previously the co-owner of a fabric and craft store called bon bon atelier and the producer of the bi-yearly craft fair the Ric Rac Roundup, she left retail ownership to work as a social media marketer and product development manager in the sewing industry. Now, Betsy combines her marketing skills with her love for indie design in the podcast Hello, Atelier! When not working on podcasts, she can be found writing about fashion and craft for online publications, or in her own studio, sewing a new project.
